Joy Yoga truly specializes in teaching the art of yoga so you can receive the benefits of stress relief, increased strength and flexibility, and quieting the busy mind. And most importantly, finding your inner joy!

We offer a wide range of daily classes for yogis of all levels:

  • Joy Slow Flow

    This warm and inviting class combines flowing movement and breath in a calm, sweet vinyasa practice. Slow Flow is perfect for all students who want to learn more about the poses, explore breath work and meditation, or just slow down and deepen their practice. Emphasis is given to aligning breath and movement, reducing distractions and paying attention, as well as relaxing into your own body. The sessions always end with a deep, relaxing savasana.

    Recommended for all levels.

  • Joy Yoga Flow

    This vinyasa flow class is for those who feel ready to take their practice to the next energizing level. Students build strength, balance and flexibility while linking breath with mindful movement. Prepare to sweat and have fun as we detoxify the body and encourage muscle relaxation. You'll leave feeling refreshed and renewed. We offer plenty of options and modifications for all yogis so you are able to modify your practice or add some challenging moves to increase the intensity. This class focuses on truly building and cultivating your own practice.

    Recommended for all levels.

  • Prenatal

    Prenatal Yoga is a safe and gentle class for women to attend throughout their pregnancy. Women will learn specific yoga poses, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques designed to relieve the physical and emotional discomforts that occur during pregnancy, and to prepare them, body, mind, and spirit, to give birth. Prenatal Yoga will benefit you through all stages of your pregnancy. This class is great for new mommies to be as well as experienced yogis.

    Recommended for expected mothers.

  • Wake Up & Salute the Sun

    Come join us as we invite you to open your body, mind, and soul. This vinyasa flow class will awaken, and relax you for the day. We will warm up slow, then build your energy with flowing movement and core work, all while enjoying the sunrise from our magnificent view of downtown! Our morning yoga class will get you ready to take on the day!

    Recommended for all levels.

  • Acro

    AcroYoga blends the wisdom of yoga, the dynamic power of acrobatics, and the loving kindness of healing arts. These three lineages form the foundation of a practice that cultivates trust, playfulness, and community.

    Recommended for all levels. No partner necessary.

  • Candlelight Yoga

    A more tranquil approach to the traditional vinyasa yoga format, this class is led by candlelight and will help rejuvenate your natural rhythm and harmony. You will focus on improving strength and flexibility, dissolving tension and experiencing a deep sense of well-being that will support you well after the session is over. Guided by the breath and our own instruction, we unite mind, body and spirit, and infuse our whole being with life giving energy.

  • Pilates Boot Camp

    Pilates boot camp takes classical Pilates and adds a twist! In addition to working your core and full-body toning, Pilates boot camp offers cardio intensity. Get ready to sweat and push yourself to your limits! Be sure to bring a towel and plenty of water.

  • Insanity Yoga

    This high energy, high intensity class alternates challenging strength training segments with a vinyasa yoga sequences to give you a heart-pounding, total body sculpting workout. The room is heated to 82 degrees and handheld dumbbells are provided. We recommend bringing a towel (or two) and plenty of water!

    Recommended for all levels.

  • Guided Meditation

    Learn how to calm the mind, be present in your body and feel rejuvenated. This class is structured using experiential instruction combined with group meditation. Teaching points will include posture, breathing, mantras (chants using mala beads), and mudras (finger and hand positions). This class is open to beginner and establish meditators. The benefits of daily meditation practice can reduce stress, anxiety and insomnia as well as increase clarity, concentration and creativity.

  • Back to Basics

    This class offers foundational posture work that will build strength, provide stretching, and explain the fundamentals of the body, mind and spirit. Each month classes will be presented as a progression series. Throughout the month, postures will be added to promote growth and expand your repertoire of poses by creating a strong foundation that you build a life of practice on.

    Great for beginners or those that just want to get back to the basics!

  • Power Pilates

    A total body Pilates workout featuring classical Pilates exercises on the Pilates mat. Whether you're a Pilates beginner or a Pilates expert practitioner, Power Mat Pilates will deliver a great Pilates workout. Power Mat Pilates classes feature classical Pilates exercises performed on a Pilates mat, but spices up traditional Pilates workouts with the use of Pilates props such as small weights. The variety in Power Mat Pilates classes ensures that each Pilates workout provides a total body workout that strengthens the core, tones the hips and thighs, and flattens the abs.

  • Lunch Power Hour

    In just one hour you will stretch your muscles, build strength, find your balance, open your hips, get upside down and enjoy some stillness. You will leave feeling refreshed and invigorated! Get ready to really build your practice!

  • Yoga for Runners

    Lead by former marathoner-trainer, this 'running therapeutics' yoga class is a full body endurance workout intelligently strengthening and lengthening the hamstrings, and opening the hips and shoulders. Designed by an athlete for athletes, this class has components of endurance, breath work, stretching and focused mindfulness to help keep runners on the road and work the body for optimal performance.

    Injuries welcomed.

  • De-Stress & Relax Gentle Yoga

    This class is centered around the classical Hatha yoga tradition and features gentle, slow flowing asanas. Breathing is emphasized as you develop flexibility, balance, and strength. A final relaxation allows you de-stress and re-energize. This class is appropriate for beginners and yogis seeking a soothing, gentle class. Modifications are provided for those with injuries or limitations.

  • JYU Donation Class

    Come and be inspired by the fresh zeal of our newest JYU teachers! Their classes are donation-based with all proceeds going towards the organization of the teachers choice. Explore your asana practice for a worthy cause.

  • Joy Yoga University

    Joy Yoga University’s 200 Hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training curriculum meets standards for curriculum developed by Yoga Alliance and is directed by Larry Thraen, a qualified instructor (E-RYT 200, RYT 500) per Yoga Alliance standards.

  • Chaturanga Power Flow

    During this high intensity power vinyasa flow, you will do multiples series of chaturanga countdowns, building upper body strength and endurance. This class focuses on core strength and alignment, which will help strengthen your yoga practice. Push yourself to your limits and have a blast at the same time!

    Recommended for advanced levels.

  • Joy Power Flow

    This class is intended for those who are comfortable in an intermediate class and feel ready to expand their practice. You will use your knowledge of postures and breathing to practice creative, physically demanding and challenging sequences. Power flow includes optional inversion practice and the opportunity to explore arm balances. This intensity should drastically improve your overall strength while detoxifying the body and building mind-body awareness. You do not need to be advanced to attend Power Yoga, this class simply provides the opportunity to broaden your understanding of asana (physical poses) while encouraging you to move at your own pace.

    Recommended for advanced levels.

  • Joy HathaFlow

    This foundational style is the source of most modern yoga styles. Physical postures are taught with a focus on alignment and breathe while entering, holding, and leaving the posture. Breathing and meditation techniques may also be taught depending on the teacher or the particular class focus. Hatha yoga is an excellent style for students who appreciate longer holds in individual postures and prefer a slower and more meditative approach to practice (while still reaping the benefits of a physical a physical practice).

    Recommended for intermediate levels.

  • Restorative Yoga

    A deeply relaxing practice of supported poses, guided relaxation, yogic breathing, and an extended savasana (final resting pose). This meditative practice cultivates a necessary balance between body and mind while dissolving physical and mental tension. Props such as blankets, bolsters, blocks, and straps are used to help support and restore the body. This class is great for any level student seeking to reduce the effects of stress and injury.

    Recommended for beginner levels.

  • Rock Your Flow

    This 60-minute vinyasa flow class is perfect for intermediate students to advanced yogis that want to have some fun. A high-energy class set to music, it features instructors that practice alongside you. The instructor will offer limited cues, allowing yogis the option to up or down level their practice. Come to this class prepared to have fun, move to the beat, and get a great workout.
